BATFE proposes ban on popular .233/5.56 ammo

The NRA-ILA is reporting that the Bureau of alcohol, tobacco, firearms and explosives just proposed a ban on certain types of ammunition that are considered both armor piercing and are available in pistol calibers. The BATFE's proposal appears to be going after a cartridge widely used in modern sporting rifles, the inexpensive M855 round.
