Both weigh in at about 5oz. The vertical is 6.5" x 4.75" x 1.25" and the horizontal is about 7" x 5" x 1.25", so these are sleek little pouches that won't take up a lot of PALS real estate. The vertical stands out in that it only takes up 2 columns of PALS, stays flat and will stay out of the way 'till you need it. When not used in its E&E role, it becomes a great small admin panel. Cut down a smart card and put it in the clear sleeve and write your freqs on it with a map pen. Keep a pen and a small notebook in the main pouch, shove an eTrex sized GPS in, and maybe even an iPod and headphones if you're not on duty.
The only puzzler on the pouch is TT's use of metal zipper pulls. They're great if want to make a little music everywhere you go, otherwise get a pair of diagonal cutters and snip those of and replace with some gutted 550 cord. It includes two long MALICE clips to attach to modular equipment and is available in Coyote Brown, OD, ACU, Black and Multicam for $45.
When we contacted TacTailor about this review they told us they were working on a new admin pouch that wouldn't be done in time for our round-up. It's since been completed, and Stickman's had hands on with it. Check out his thoughts here.
