It is estimated that the franchise industry makes up 50% of the retail industry, and more importantly is a $2.1 trillion dollar industry. Yes, I said trillion with at "T". Trillion, that's a lot of money and I know you want a part of it, as well you should, but before you commit to franchise ownership, here are some questions to ask yourself. #Goals is a very popular phrase in 2018, and understandably so who wouldn't want to be goals or at least use the hashtag on social media? However, as popular as it is to use have you ever thought asked yourself what your goals are? Franchise ownership requires a lot of time, and energy. You want to make sure it is something that aligns with not only your financial but, also your career goals before committing to anything.
It's clear this guy is upset. Maybe it's because his computer is stuck in the 1980's ( a valid reason to be) or maybe it's because he is doing a job he hates. Doing a job you don't like even if it pays well is a recipe for disaster. Before committing to anything you want to ask yourself, is this something you are passionate about. If it is something you are not passionate about or don't even like you will be as miserable as this guy, even if they are paying you well. (Sjharmo/Getty Images)
Franchise ownership, just like Rihanna's song requires's a lot of work. Work meaning; early morning, late hours, little sleep and all of the responsibility. While the pay off can be very good, you want to ask yourself if you are ready to take on the work. (Ilbusca/Getty Images)
Who really likes change? It's new and requires some getting used to. Being a franchise owner will require a lot of change on your part. Another question to ask yourself is are you ready for the change? (Gustavofrazao/Getty Images)
This classic 2007 50 Cent song, may have been your ringtone, it definitely was mine. While you may claim to get money how much do you actually have? Franchise ownership requires money to invest upfront, money you would need to have. So ask yourself, do you have the money that is needed to start a franchise? (Charles Sykes/Invision/AP)
