Children of Fallen Patriots raised $2.9 million to support the college education of Gold Star children at the 3rd Annual NYC Gala which equates to over 469 years of college for Fallen Patriots scholars. On May 24, 2023, 660 guests gathered at Cipriani 42nd Street in Manhattan to honor Gold Star families and the courageous servicemen and servicewomen who have fallen defending the United States. To mark this year’s 2023 Patriot Award, Vice Admiral Collin P. Green, Deputy Commander for US Special Operations, was honored for his exceptional military career and devotion to the safety and freedom of America. Featured student speaker Caitlin Rowe shared her family’s story about her father U.S. Marine Corps Captain Alan Rowe, who was killed in action September 3, 2003 and shared how Fallen Patriots has impacted her life. John Waldon, President and COO of Goldman Sachs was also honored with our Distinguished Service Award as Goldman Sachs and its employees have contributed in excess of 220 years of college for our scholars.

Over the past two decades, we have provided almost $69 million in support to over 2,900 children of our fallen and celebrated as over 1,300 of our scholars graduated college. These incredible milestones would not have been possible without the passionate and steadfast support of our many donors across the country. The invaluable opportunities provided to our scholars are due to the investment you have made–and continue to make–in their futures. 96% of the revenue raised goes directly to programming and scholar support. Our operating costs are almost fully covered by our generous and committed Board, allowing almost every dollar raised to be put to work where it is needed most. We impose high standards on ourselves, making it much more gratifying to receive recognition from many accredited organizations. Fallen Patriots is proud to have been awarded a four-star and perfect 100% rating from Charity Navigator. Fewer than

1% of organizations achieve this rating. These ratings highlight our dedication to transparency and accountability.
