The eyewear manufacturers got wind of the unit's need for new eyepro from a reporter embedded with the company of grunts at COP Cafferata in Now Zad. When the shades arrived, the company leadership confirmed that the unit was already looking to replace worn out eyewear before the fire disrupted the supply chain. The unsolicited eyewear donation augmented the units' stores and allowed them to outfit the entire infantry company plus attachments.

Jamie Radigan from Revision, who is prior Navy himself, responded to the request by saying, "my brother's a snake pilot who just got home from Camp Bastion yesterday... so along with Revision's deep dedication to the military, I've got a lot of heart for Marines and for what you guys do." They had four big boxes of eyepro on the way within one day of hearing about the unit's need.

Mike Torres, from Smith Optics Elite Division, also responded by getting what they had on hand out the door the next day.

Well done, guys.
