I'm looking at this watch as a technology demonstrator. I don't expect many of you will run out and buy this limited edition $3000 watch (though I know some of you will), I do want to show you that the next wave of self-setting watches will ditch the the geographically constrained atomic clock system in favor of reading time from GPS satellites.
When this tech trickles down to the G-Shock/K-Mart level, it will mean that just about everything and everyone in theater will be on the same time without having to lug a handheld GPS receiver around. Until then, your best bet is to strap on a Garmin Foretrex 401 or a Suunto X10 (...until the new Suunto Ambit arrives March 2012).
