Up and coming design shop Unity Tactical had some interesting products displayed on their wall inside the TNVC booth, one of which was a unique pressure switch. Developed in partnership with TNVC, Unity's patent-pending T.A.P.S. is a rail-mounted, low-profile polymer body with two rubber buttons. What takes it to the next level:
1. It has interchangeable bases to mount to 1913, KeyMod or M-Lok rails.
2. The wire leads are removable/replaceable. You can set up the switch to run SureFire, Steiner/LDI, or L3/Insight lights and lasers as well as easily replace the leads with different lengths or if they are damaged.
3. Finally, the buttons themselves are programmable. The user can set up each button in various modes such as momentary on, constant on, single-press on, double-press on, etc. The two buttons can perform separate actions or can be linked together to act as one.
The T.A.P.S. will be available this summer direct from both Unity and TNVC as well as their dealers. It will come in black and flat dark earth. Price is currently TBD pending some design tweaks as the companies head into production.
