Honeywell aims to adapt its design for its existing SkyShot 1600 engine to fit unmanned aircraft in the Air Force’s Collaborate Combat Aircraft program.
The service said integrating third-party autonomous software is a major step on developing drones that can fly themselves alongside jets like the F-35.
