Ralph Puckett Jr., the last living National Medal of Honor recipient from the Korean War, died in his sleep on Monday. The members of a secretive U.S. military unit, dubbed the Ghost Army, used deception to outwit Nazi forces during World War II. The creation of the medal comes as the Navy has ramped up operations and exercises in the Arctic in recent years. Sgt. Amed Issa, a Marine infantryman, ran toward gunfire to save a man who had been shot 23 times outside a bar in Honolulu.
