Nine additional former cadets have formally accused the school of failing to prevent and properly address sexual violence on campus.
The defendant, who once worked for the Office of Naval Research, was found to have more than 600 sexually explicit photos and videos on his devices.
He must serve more than six years, reduced to private and issued a bad conduct discharge.
The move comes on the three-year anniversary of President Joe Biden's repeal of the ban on transgender individuals serving in the military.
