In the event of a regional escalation that sees heavy rocket and missile attacks on Israel, the country’s military leaders are confident that U.S. Army's air and missile defense personnel will be on the ground helping protect the Jewish state.
The forward-deployed guided-missile destroyer USS Carney completed it's two-week Black Sea foray on March 3, making way back into the Aeagen and Mediterranean Seas according to a March 5 Navy press release. Carney, based in Rota, Spain, is on it's fourth patrol since changing homeports in 2015, a routine 6th Fleet cruise, conducting operations with allies and partners.
