My sources tell me TAPCO's marketing and design capabilities, as well as its existing design portfolio of American-made aftermarket firearms parts and accessories, fills a strategic role in FGI's growth. Remington is looking at TAPCO as both a resource to bring commercial firearms parts to market as well as a being a source of OEM parts for Remington's own products.
Accordingly, Remington is excited to incorporate TAPCO's 3D modeling and rapid prototyping expertise into its own research and development capabilities. The fact that TAPCO has valuable distribution and retail relationships established with key vendors like Brownells and Midway USA is another attractive aspect of the acquisition.
As far as we know, TAPCO will remain in Kennesaw, Ga.

TAPCO is a designer and marketer of American-made aftermarket accessories and replacement parts for handguns, rifles, shotguns, modern sporting rifles and other tactical firearms. All aspects of the product development cycle are managed from within the company. State of the art computer aided design, rapid prototyping and extensive testing have allowed TAPCO to bring innovative and dependable products to the shooting marketplace.
