We introduced you to the MagPod concept last year and after extensive testing and a few more rounds of revisions, the finished product has taken shape.
The updated MagPod features smoother lines all around and a slimmer profile. All the sharp angles are gone so there is less chance of inadvertently snagging the mag on something. The original MagPod was a bit more trapezoidal. The shape made it tough to fit two MagPod-equipped PMAGs into a double stack mag pouch. The updated profile makes it a little easier without giving up any of the stability of the wider foot.
The bottom of the MagPod has a Santoprene pad to keep it from slipping hen used on a slippery surface, such as the hood of a patrol car.
Look for the MagPod to hit retailers in late spring 2013 with an MSRP of $25. Street price will likely end just under $20 for the three-pack. If you're at SHOT Show this week, come by the Multitasker booth (#7309) to see it.
