Lawmakers questioned the timing and the reasons, lambasting the order that Rep. Don Bacon, R-Neb., said sent a “terrible message to Russia and our allies.”
The new plan comes after President Donald Trump and previous Navy Secretary John Phelan reportedly disagreed over outsourcing construction on select ships.
“The missile was very precise. Let’s say if you want to hit a window from a far distance, it lands directly into that window,” a military official said.
