Praetor Defense has a 1911 holster they are quietly sliding onto the market. While they are a smaller company, the owners real world experiences of carrying a firearm every day have hammered the smallest of details into this holster. In general, most guys feel a polymer/ kydex/ plastic holster is pretty much the same regardless of who the label is on the side. I'll disagree, to the point of I replaced my off duty G19 holster with one from Praetor Defense. The biggest reason I switched? The angle and curve of the holster. There is no reason to "get made" while carrying a concealed weapon, not even to pick up girls (just lie like everyone else does). This holster series conforms to my body and conceals better than any other holster I've used, and still allows for a natural draw of the weapon. I take carrying a weapon on and off duty pretty seriously based on the high crime area I work, and I don't take changing my daily carry gear lightly. My last holster is one I wore for 14 years, and it was better than anything else I had tried during that time, that was then, the Praetor Defense Holster is now.
If you are looking for an online store that carries the Praetor Defense series of holsters, check out www.weaponoutfitters.com. They also carry a decent selection of AR15/ M4 equipment while you are making up your Christmas list (its never too early).
