The new and improved Ambit is Suunto's most intuitive product offered to date with software upgrades, as well as an integrated GPS.   The standard suite of options of altimeter, barometer and compass will still be available with the new option of a heart rate monitor.  The new Ambit is truly the 1^st outdoor GPS with robust construction featuring a steel ring protecting the watch face from damage.  The big news for the new Ambit will be the downloading of applications from movescount.com as well as allowing personally created applications tuned to the needs of the owner.  The Ambit has a listed MAP of $550 for the heart rate monitor version and $500 for the standard model.
