Magpul brought out their new armorers tools for some hands-on demo time. The BEV Block is the coolest armorers tool I've seen in a long time. It replaces both a lower receiver block and a bulky clamshell upper receiver block. It does this while adding a barrel extension locking system that takes the stresses off the receiver during barrel and muzzle device work. Lastly, the BEV is about a quarter of the size of the two tools it replaces. The BEV Block will be available this fall for $50.
The Armorer's Wrench is a refined phosphate finished steel tool that should be the last wrench you'll buy. The barrel wrench works with both GI and pin-style (Knight's, Daniel Defense, etc) barrel nuts. Other features include a flash hider wrench, rifle receiver extension wrench, castle nut wrench with extended teeth, two small hammer faces for tapping pins, 1/2" torque wrench port and a bottle opener. The wrench will be priced at $80 when released this fall.
