Mega Arms continues to come out of the gate strong with a new offering that shows off obsessive attention to machining tolerances and quality, as well as some of the best fit-and-finish in the industry. While Mega is normally known for AR-type platforms, at SHOT Show 2015, the company has moved into some new territory by introducing a precision rifle chassis system in partnership with another Washington state company, Killer Innovations.

The chassis itself starts out with a 7075-T651 billet block of aircraft-grade, American-made aluminum. The self-adjusting, patent-pending recoil lug locking system does not require bedding, and the barreled action will return to the same POI after it is removed and re-installed. Two variants (M-LOK or KeyMod) give users attachment points for accessories. It's a lightweight setup that comes in at only 2.4 pounds. The short-action Remington 700 chassis will be released first, with a long-action version to follow. It is compatible with AI-pattern magazines, has an ambidextrous safety, and the removable rear trunnion is compatible with all AR15-style buffer tubes and buttstocks.

Mega Arms is a fellow Washington-based business to Killer Innovations, also is in the market of high-end weapon components. The two companies met up over a year ago and came up with the concept of an innovative new recoil lug system, which soon found an entire rifle stock being designed around it. The patent-pending Recoil Lug Alignment System located in front of the recoil lug expands and presses the lug into a self-adjusting, half-round ledge. This locks up the stock interface without any need for bedding material. The full process to torque the assembly is covered in a detailed instruction manual to help obtain the ultimate accuracy potential. As Jason Curns of Mega explained: "The simplicity behind the design was intriguing enough to make it happen. Stepping into a new platform is a new adventure, but the idea of bringing the style of our machining background into the bolt action world, long range precision, is exciting."

The new rifle chassis should be released by the end of first quarter of this year, with an MSRP of $808. An optional night-vision mounting point that integrates onto the stock  is available as well.

Also at Booth31000, Mega is showing the new Slide Lock charging handles for AR variants and M-LOK versions of the MKM one-piece uppers for both AR15 in 5.56mm and MATEN in 7.62mm. The company also continues to expand on its rifle barrel lines that rolled out late last year.
