Magpul Industries, long known for its polymer AR-15 products, has shaken up the precision rifle market with the introduction of an entry-level, but feature-rich, rifle stock for the Remington 700 action and drop-in magazine well upgrade.

Hunter 700 stock
The Magpul Hunter 700 Stock uses a cast aluminum bedding block from the recoil lugs to the tang of the grip, allowing the barrel to "free float." This allows the stock to be a true drop-in solution, with no bedding required. The barrel channel is wide enough to accommodate Krieger "Heavy Palma" diameter barrels with no modification.
Magpul long-range instructor Caylen Wojcik noted that this stock is designed primarily for hunting applications and is not intended to replace tactical chassis systems.
Cost is $259.95 and Magpul expects a Spring 2015 delivery date.
The Magpul Bolt Action Magazine Well is a natural upgrade to the Remington 700 and Hunter 700 Stock. Users remove their bottom metal and insert the well into the Hunter 700 stock, and they can now use Accuracy International pattern short-action magazines.
Cost is $69.95, also with expected delivery in the spring.
