“They’re heartbroken,” the Holbrook family's attorney said. “We hope the Air Force learns from this, and it never happens to anyone’s husband or father again.”
The judge ruled the Air Force must conduct a more thorough environmental impact statement, which fully accounts for the noise of the overhead fighter jets. That EIS must then be approved before the training exercises can resume in nine urban centers.
The move was likely the byproduct of an ongoing Immigration and Customs Enforcement investigation into the unlawful export of ATN Corp scopes, which are strictly governed by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations program.
