Kriss USA is releasing the second generation of its popular Vector weapon system with a number of enhancements and upgrades. The new Kriss Vector will be available as a National Firearms Act-restricted submachine gun, a short-barreled rifle, a commonly available pistol and a 16-inch barreled carbine.

Enhancements are numerous, from the subtle (new texturing) to the significant (superior single-stage trigger and short-throw safety). Also, the profile of the fake suppressor in the 16-inch carbine has been changed to a more rectangular shape.

Overall, the Vector's Super V system still does an excellent job of controlling muzzle rise and keeping an SMG on target at short ranges, even when firing the stout .45 ACP cartridge at a high rate of fire.

Kriss USA representatives estimate a second-quarter release of the second-generation Vector with no significant price changes expected from the current Vector's MSRP of $1,895. Good news for early adopters: Kriss is developing an upgrade for owners of the first-generation Vector. Additionally, 9mm conversion kits and complete rifles also are scheduled for the second quarter of 2015, with pricing TBA
