It is essentially an open-ended shroud that mounts to an AAC muzzle device in place of a silencer and diverts the muzzle blast forward away from the shooter. It is effective in cutting down the punishing sideways blast from muzzle brakes, especially when used on SBRs. When mounted on a flash hider, it will direct most of the muzzle blast forward, but it will act as a flash enhancer, giving you a noticeable muzzle flash.

The AAC Blast Diverter is made of durable 17-4 SS and is black nitride coated. It will initially be available for the company's 51-Tooth Ratchet mounts when it ships in Q2 this year, followed shortly thereafter by a 90-Tooth Ratchet Taper version. Expected retail is $150.
